POST PRODUCTION FOR DOCUMENTARY FILMS
FILM EDITING | GRADING
We specialise in documentary films
Thanks for stopping by. At WBP, we have been specialising in offline edits on documentary film projects. We believe filmmaking, particularly documentary, is a close collaborative process and a good editor can make all the difference. Our team is dedicated to crafting stories from hours of rushes, sorting out the chaff, and picking out the gems, to help you engage and enlighten your audiences on issues that matter. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about our work, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are always eager to discuss the projects we have completed and provide insight into our process. Thank you kindly for your visit.
OUR PROCESS
Initial Discussions:
Our interactions will commence after your initial contact (either using the form below or through a call or email). It’s best if you are as detailed as possible about the project, when reaching out. We will get get on a video call (or meet in person if you are in Goa), and discuss what your project needs and how we could help. After this we will have a quote ready for you with all terms (no fine-print here!).
On-boarding:
Depending on the stage at which you approach us, we will understand your project, access your footage available, brainstorm story structures and narrative options, discuss any additional footage you may need and generally collaborate with you on the road map for the film. You may share proxies online, send across a drive with your footage or use a Camera-to-Cloud workflow. We will discuss what’s best for your project.
Assembly:
This is the stage in the film that’s slow and not necessarily fun for all. It is crucial for the editor though to go through all the available footage and select the gems and make rough sequences based on the discussions so far. We work alone at this stage, sharing the timelines as we go along.
The Creative Edit:
This is the stage that intense, fun and the most collaborative in the entire process. We will work closely with you, sharing sequences and discussing them using collaborative tools like frame.io and Resolve. Commenting and adding feedback is a breeze no matter where you are in the world. In person or online, at no stage will you feel blinded by the progress.
External Collaborations:
We understand there are other professionals who may be involved in the film – music composers, sound designers, animators and CGI artists to mention a few. We make it seamless to collaborate with them too.
If you have any questions about our process and how we could work together, please get in touch and we’d be happy to discuss in detail.
